Honors Economics affords students the opportunity to explore basic theories relating to the free market system. It is designed especially for the college-bound student who will be required to complete similar coursework in the future. Students will investigate microeconomic theory as it relates to individual decision-making with an emphasis on business and markets and macroeconomic theory as it relates to the current economic situation in the U.S. Students participate in a substantial project in which they run their own business for a week. Note: Honors Economics meets the Consumer Education requirement for graduation.
