Prerequisite: Biology and Algebra 1A
This course is designed to reinforce and extend students’ understanding of physical science and the scientific process by associating scientific and math principles and concepts with relevant applications in agriculture. Topics of study in this course include scientific investigations, environmental and natural resource systems, and agriculture mechanics and machine systems. Students can expect to investigate scientific concepts related to soil sciences and conservation, equipment and structure design and fabrication, energy and power systems, and agricultural machines. Participation in FFA student organization activities and Supervised Agricultural Experience projects is an integral course component for leadership development, career exploration and reinforcement of academic concepts.
