Prerequisite: Successful completion of Algebra 2.
This mathematics elective will introduce students to four important mathematical topics not included under the umbrella of algebra. This year long course will focus on real world applications for topics that include logic, election theory, fair division, graph theory, recursion, combinatorics, and probability. Course curriculum will be presented in a variety of ways including discovery learning, learning with technology, group work/projects, collaborative learning, and interactive instruction.
