Mark your calendars and check out this week's newsletter for ordering details. School picture day is next Thursday, September 4th.
Students and staff had a blast at our first monthly assembly this morning. This month, we focused on the character trait of Respect. We had a great time recognizing these students who shine at school as our Students with Heart. Our Student with Heart award is given to one child in each homeroom class every month. The teachers, and sometimes students, nominate students based on who they believe has been working hard to exhibit the trait of the month. Students who receive the award this year will be recognized at a monthly assembly, to which their parent(s)/guardian(s) are invited. They will also receive a certificate and a yard sign to display proudly for the month.
We also kicked off our Fun Run fundraiser on Wednesday. Students are coming home with registration information tonight and will win prizes for hitting different fundraising milestones. You can check out more information below and in your child's Friday folder.
Our school team has been collecting many forms of student data to ensure each child receives the classroom support needed. These student resources include MAP data, common formative assessments, and classroom observation. The staff looks forward to diving into the data for some instructional planning together on Tuesday.
We hope you have a wonderful Labor Day weekend. We look forward to seeing your child(ren) again on Wednesday, September 3rd.

All orders for pictures can be placed securely online using a credit card. There are some great pre-order specials available on the website! These special offers are only available until midnight of picture day.
If you prefer to pay with cash and need an order sheet, please email Modern Images at service@modernimages.org. They will email you a form that you can fill out and return to school on picture day.

Cooperative Loss: 3rd-5th Grade Families
Dear Parents/Guardians of 3rd-5th grade students,
When you completed the online registration for your student, you had the option of choosing to enroll in the "Cooperative Loss Program" to lessen the cost of repairs if your student's school iPad gets damaged. This coverage is optional, but if you choose to enroll, we need to receive your $15.00 payment in order for the coverage to be in effect.
Families that marked that they want to participate in this year's Cooperative Loss program have until Friday, September 12, 2025 to pay this fee. Starting on September 15th, those who have not submitted payment will no longer be covered in the program until payment is received.
If you would like to pay online, here is a link to the instructions.

You may also send a $15 check to the school, payable to Reagan. Please be sure to label it with your child's name and "iPad Cooperative Loss."

We use our School Improvement Team to gather diverse perspectives. The Reagan School Improvement Team meets four times a year after school, and we are looking for parent volunteers who would be interested in serving on our team.

The goal of the School Improvement Team is to gather diverse feedback on site-based decisions, including the Reagan Site Plan. No level of expertise is required, just a willingness to share your time and perspectives. Your opinions count; this is a great way to use your perspective to better our school community.

Please see the traffic flow linked. We all can help support successful arrival and dismissal by following this traffic flow.
Safety is always the most important- it's our #1 rule! We take special care during peak times in the morning and afternoon to ensure everyone's safety. The first few days back at school are always a little more hectic. We will have a lot of staff members outside to assist with traffic flow and safety. We appreciate your patience, cooperation, and respect in advance. Please follow the listed safety guidelines whenever children are dropped off or picked up at school.
Observe all posted signage related to traffic.
Always remain in your car when dropping off/picking up your child(ren) along the curbs. Staff members will be available to assist your children in exiting or entering a vehicle.
Children should exit/enter cars only through the curbside door.
Please observe arrival and dismissal times.
Having your child at school on time is important, as classes start promptly at 8:30.
Dismissal time is also essential as staff members have additional responsibilities at the end of each school day. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday dismissal is at 3:30, and Wednesdays, we dismiss at 2:30.

We put student and staff safety first. We will always follow district policy 5740.1.

Show your ID to our office staff for verification and to receive your visitor's badge.

We will follow district policy for screening procedures for volunteers in the classroom. This policy applies to all persons who are not district employees, current students, parents, or grandparents of current students.
