Our Orchestras
We have three orchestras at Millard West High School. The Chamber Orchestra, the Symphony orchestra, and the Philharmonic.
All students begin in Philharmonic unless they can audition out of the class.
The Symphony is mostly a non-competitive ensemble made up of students who have met the qualifications of the Philharmonic.
The Chamber orchestra is reserved for dedicated students who have met the expectations of both Philharmonic and Symphony orchestras. It is invitation only, and all students must have distinguished themselves throughout the year as well as pass an audition to be admitted.

Our Goal
Members of the Millard West High School Orchestra strive for excellence by working to reach levels of musical skill beyond where they have been, to produce an enjoyable experience for our audience and ourselves, and to experience some of the greatest music ever written. The dedication and drive to do this comes from being able to do this with our friends and fellow musicians, as well as from seeing how we have grown throughout the years.
