Students should arrive before the bell.
Block 1 should be in the room and ready to go no more than 3 minutes before the start-of-class bell.
Block 2 should be in the room ASAP from their last class to provide them ample time to tune their instrument.
The student will make sure their phone is on silent.
Upon entering they will surrender their phone to the appropriate phone pocket.
The student will then get their instrument and tune with the electronic tuner .
Once the bell rings, tuning will begin.
If a student is in dire need of a bathroom they may excuse themselves by following this procedure.
Carefully stow their instrument so that it cannot be broken.
Using your school Laptop, Start the E-Pass for the Music Bathroom.
Go.
Upon returning remember to stop the pass with the app.
Wait until Mr. Zeleski informs you that the class is concluded.
(DO NOT PACK UP EARLY)
Carefully case and locker your instrument.
When the bell rings or Mr. Zeleski dismisses you leave out the 400 hall door.
If you are using a practice copy you may get a new one from the supply at the front of the room.
If you are using an original you must see Mr. Zeleski about replacing it.
New original sheet music incurs a fee of at least $1.00 per sheet.
Students who forget their instruments will not get credit for performing.
Notify Mr. Zeleski that you forgot your instrument.
If arrangements can be made to have it dropped off to you before the end of the block you may still be able to get some credit for performing.
If there is a loaner instrument available Mr. Zeleski may make that available to you with the understanding that if you break it you must fix it. This is on a case-by-case basis.
