Students should arrive before the bell.
Block 1 should be in the room and ready to go no more than 3 minutes before the start-of-class bell.
Block 2 should be in the room ASAP from their last class to provide them ample time to tune their instrument.
Take instruments cases, tuner, and music folder out of the lockers and leave your backpacks/computer/phones in your locker.
Find your seat.
Take our your Pencil and place it on your stand (3 seconds away).
The student will then get their instrument and tune it with the electronic tuner.
Once the bell rings you will 5 minutes to tune and warm up.
If a student is in dire need of a bathroom they may excuse themselves by following this procedure.
Carefully stow their instrument so that it cannot be broken.
Using your school Laptop, Start the E-Pass for the Music Bathroom.
Go.
Upon returning remember to stop the pass with the app.
Wait until Dr. Zeleski informs you that the class has concluded.
(DO NOT PACK UP EARLY)
Carefully case and lock your instrument.
When the bell rings or Dr. Zeleski dismisses, you leave out the 400 hall door.
If you are using a practice copy, you may get a new one from the supply at the front of the room.
If you are using an original, you must see Dr. Zeleski about replacing it.
New original sheet music incurs a fee of at least $1.00 per sheet.
Students who forget their instruments will not get credit for performing.
Notify Dr. Zeleski that you forgot your instrument.
If arrangements can be made to have it dropped off to you before the end of the block, you may still be able to get some credit for performing.
If there is a loaner instrument available, Dr. Zeleski may make that available to you with the understanding that if you break it, you must fix it. This is on a case-by-case basis.
Students must arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of the show.
Students who arrive late will have their concert grade reduced.
The room will be noisy; they are expected to follow the same kind of procedure as they would for the start of class. Be respectful when warming up and tuning
When Dr. Zeleski signals that you must stop playing, be quiet and attentive.
Go through the group warmup with Dr. Zeleski.

Stack chairs and put them away.
Sophomores
Instrument put away
Rack stands
Juniors
Instrument put away
Set up the Orchestra, if necessary,
Pick up left behind items, and move Dr. Zeleski's podium, speakers, stand, etc.
