Prior to leaving for school, parents should screen their child for a temperature greater than 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit and observe for symptoms consistent with COVID-19. Key COVID-19 signs and symptoms are: feeling feverish, measured temp 100.4 F or more, chills, uncontrolled new cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, loss of taste or smell.
Call the school to speak with the nurse and report your child’s absence.
Parents should also follow up with their health care provider if they are experiencing other symptoms associated with COVID-19, or have had close contact with a person diagnosed with COVID-19.
All water fountains remain turned off for safety reasons. Each school currently has a water bottle filling station and students are strongly encouraged to bring their own water bottles.
