Instruction

For the 2021-2022 academic year, students will be engaged in instruction five days a week at their assigned schools. The benefits of in-person instruction are significant for all students. Based on the Connecticut State Department of Education guidelines, remote learning will not be an option in the 2021-2022 school year for all public schools in the state, including Middletown Public Schools.

MPS will continue to implement mitigation strategies and safety at all schools in accordance with Connecticut State Department of Education guidance and our local department of health. As part of our protocols, we have developed an asynchronous platform for students who must be in COVID-19 isolation or quarantine as determined by the Middlesex Health District and in collaboration with the Middletown Public School administration. These protocols ensure our schools are as safe as possible for our students, families, teachers, staff, and community partners.
