Students will be given materials for BOTH sides of the issue! Tournaments will involve 3 debates- 2 for one (randomly chosen) side and 1 for the opposite side.
"Practice" time will be spent getting comfortable with the materials and understanding the arguments and counter-arguments. We will also work on confidence as a speaker, clarity of argument, "thinking on your feet", persuasion, and reflecting on improvement.
