The Science Plate Tectonics Lab provided hands-on experience in understanding plate movements and their geological consequences, such as the formation of mountains, volcanoes, and earthquakes. We simulated plate interactions using models and observed tectonic movements over time. This lab not only deepened my understanding of Earth science concepts but also enhanced my knowledge on plate tectonics which was helpful in some of our future projects and more projects to come. 

The learning target for the Rock Cycle Lab is to understand I met this target by working with my group in an efficient way and staying on task while doing it. Me and my group got an exceeds on this project so I think I met the target. The lab was kind of a quiz about the different types of rocks we had been learning about in class. To complete the lab we had to answer 22 multiple choice or write a response questions about the different types of rock. With the group work I used for this project I can use it for future projects by knowing how to stay on task and what good group work looks like. I can also use the time management I learned in this project in future projects.    

Our learning target in science was that I can build a scientific explanation  of the knowledge I have about rock strata for a  geological time scale that is used to organize the earth's amazing history dating back 4.6 billion years! I think I met this learning target because me and Wren did a really good job with making the rock strata for our exhibition and painting it. This project was about making a rock strata diagram for our exhibition project build. To complete this we had to draw a diagram of the rock strata for our exhibition and make slides that tell our listeners about the plate tectonics and the rock strata. 

Rock cycle lab 

In this lab we filled out some questions and if we got a question right it would add these pixels that are colored. After you completed all the questions you would have a picture of a rainbow shrimp! I think that this lab was nice because it was also a quiz to kind of see how much you know.

In this lab I think I used refinement because I went back and refined the answers that I got wrong and referenced my past notes.

Plate tectonics lab 

This lab helped me and my peers understand the different types of plate tectonics. There's convergent boundary which move towards each other and then when they meet one plate goes under the other.  When one plate goes under the other the plate digs down into the earths core and when it goes down far enough it pushes up lave from the earths core creating a volcano to explode! Then there's divergent boundary's, this is when two plates move away from each other this creates effects like the San Andres fault zone . Lastly there's transformation boundary, this is when two plate go side by side and pass each other. When they pass each other they grind past each other creating effects like earthquakes.
