In ELA we are reading the books Charlie Hernandez and the league of shadows. My begging of the year goal for ELA was to work on my vocabulary and comprehension of words. I think that I've done really good with this goal and I had a good improvement in my vocab in IXL and its one of my highest ones at 830, I would like to continue this goal and try to get a 900 and to work on vocabulary for homework in IXL.

Two roads final project
Two roads final project
For this project me and my partner Miriam made a extra chapter to the book and then recorded us reading the extra chapter. The learning target for these two was: I can recognize how characters change/grow in a book, identify themes in a book, discuss how an important chapter from a book connects to a theme from the book. I can make inferences about the characters, draw conclusions about the plot, and apply a plot diagram to my creative writing. This project was about adding or learning more about this book or this period in time. To complete this project me and Miriam rote a 5 page extra chapter and then we recorded a podcast of us reading the extra chapter. With the group work we did in this project can help me in the future because when I grow up I want to either work for NASA or be a teacher and you need to be able to work with others.

For this assignment I made a skit of the last few chapters of the book.
For this project I think I used effort because I had to do this assignment at home scene I wasn't going to be there that Friday so I took the responsibility to spend 2 hours on this assignment at home so I think that that shows that I had a lot of effort while doing this assignment.

To prepare for this debate I researched "should we have a four day school week?" and found two trustworthy websites that had info of why we shouldn't have a four day school week and info of why we should have a four day school week.
I lost this debate but Mrs. Dunlap said that me and Greer did really good because there was only two of us and we did all the work and it was 2 v 3. But also we lost because we had no rebuttals we also lost but we couldn't here their main points speaker. Also they had a really good rebuttal against us because one of their team members cheated and looked at my computer and found out one of our main points. I think I used a lot of effort because me and Greer worked really hard to make our script just the two of us.

The most challenging part for me was the evidence because my partner lost some of her links so I had to go and find them again. And I didn't understand the format at first but then Mrs. Evans helped me and it made a lot more scene.
I think I'm a stronger writer in my body paragraphs section because after Mrs.Evans helped me it just clicked and then I was able to go really fast and finish my essay.
If Mrs.Evans or whomever your teacher is if they let you listen to music don't get distracted its gonna take 4x longer if you aren't focused and if you cant listen to music don't let your friend or anyone distract you. If someone is distracting you tell the teacher this is a big project and you need to stay focused.
