during this simulation there were groups of each table that played as a person that was at the constitutional convention, and we took notes about each characters opinion by asking each other questions. for example: I asked Alexander Hamilton (a classmate) what their views on slavery were.
in class we did a seminar about a book we are reading called just mercy. this book was about the inequalities of people of color and just about Bryan Stevenson's life. I received a meets on my written assignment, this is because I answered every question with at least 2 sentences and never just a single word. I got another meets on my verbal participation because I asked questions and asked others to speak. My goal for the future is to speak more and tell my opinion rather than just asking questions, so then maybe I can get an exceeds.

this assignment was to pick two topics that seemed the most interesting to you, then you would have to look at the source provided and fill out a document with questions about the source, then we would pick our favorite between the two. I got a meets on this assignment and got the topic I wanted for our exhibition.
this was where we chose 4 sources and researched them for our ted talk
overall in this project I learned about the injustices in the justice system. especially about racial profiling and arrests. during this project I've gained the skills to site sources correctly and creating MLA formats as well as a variety of other things. for my ted talk slides I got a Meets. and for my oral presentation and research I got a meets minus.
during this project we learned about westward expansion, and the affects of kit Carson and westward expansion on native Americans. we also learned about the law in court and objections, we learned how to make leading questions for cross examinations, and how to make our direct examinations look like an interview. we then used this knowledge in the court during our exhibition, to object, examine, and speak with professionalism in the court. during this project, I as a student grew my knowledge about the court and westward expansion, I learned about kit Carson's actions. and what happened to the native Americans during that time. when it came to the law, this project taught me about objections and laws in the court. In the future, if I ever wanted to become a lawyer or if I ever became a witness this information would help. as an individual I learned that for me to memorize something I have to read it over and over, I also learned that once I have an opinion on something it won't change until I have definite proof. overall I would give myself a grade of meets, I didn't go beyond but I did everything in the meets category to the best of my abilities. The first goal i'd like to set for myself is to focus more on my work, though I already do so, I would like to improve. my second goal would be to do some extensions if I can, and my third goal would be to go above and beyond during our assignments.

during this assignment we read an article about natives and a young white mother, during westward expansion. we answered one of 3 questions and then discussed with a partner about the answers to the questions. this assignment was for the purpose of looking into stories during the time of westward expansion. I do not know what grade I got for this assignment.
