In this project we filled out a sheet on our computers and it showed different types of rocks and every time we guessed what type of rock it was(sedimentary, Igneous and Metamorphic) It would reveal I color in the middle which eventually made a sea creature. Some of the things I learned from this project were how different types of rocks were formed and what causes them to change form. The habit of heart and mind I used the most was refinement because I had to go over the questions again and again since they were pretty hard.     

The Plate Tectonic Lab was a lab where we answered all different  kinds of questions about plate tectonics. Some things I learned were how plate tectonics move and what happens when they collide. The habit of heart and mind I used the most was effort because it was a 14 page slide with lots of questions.  

The Earth Rocks project was our exhibition and the learning target was: I can construct a scientific explanation based on evidence from rock strata for how the geologic time scale is used to organize earth’s 4.6-billion-year-old history. My group met the learning target because we got an exceeds and we worked really hard. This project was about creating rock layers from 4.6 billion years ago. For example, some of the rock layers were the Jurassic and Triassic. The steps I learned the most from this were the rock layers and their eras. I feel like the two most useful habits of heart and mind I used were effort and refinement because we finished our research but then we had to go back and change things. Effort was also helpful because we all worked hard and the project took a long time. One thing that would be helpful in the future would be working well in a group and always having an open mind during projects. One thing I found interesting was that there were around 14 rock layers. To conclude, This exhibition was really fun and I learned a lot about rocks and rock layers.
