Amy uses: Respect, Integrity, Effort, and Refinement in her work, and daily life.
Respect
Respect
Respect:
Always being kind, not doing things to disrupt other learning, and if possible, setting an example for others to do the same. Respect means following instructions the first time, and turning in assignments on time.
I have used/not used respect in:

Effort
Effort:
Doing your best, and trying your hardest, even when, and especially when you are not interested in the activity. Effort means knowing what your strengths and abilities are, and trying to live up to that.
I have used/not used effort in:
Staying organized
Travel journals
Refinement
Refinement
Refinement:
Going over what you wrote/did and making sure it is the best you can possibly do. Refinement can be used for more than just physical projects, but can also be applied to more mental skills like strategies for staying focused and on task.

Integrity
Integrity:
Being true to yourself and others, and doing the right thing even when no one is watching. Integrity is doing what's best for others even if it doesn't always benefit you, or or make your life easier. Academically, it means doing your own work, and not cheating.

Ownership:
Splitting up the work, and doing your part. It also means stepping into a leadership role for your group, and making sure everyone stays on task.
Helpfulness

Doing your part in your group. A helpful group member works hard to benefit the team, and makes learning easier rather than being disruptive
Respect
Respect:
Not taking over the entire project, and listening to others ideas in addition to sharing your own. Respect also means staying on task, and never disrupting others' learning.
Closing

In 7th grade, I have been challenged, overwhelmed, and stressed, and what I am most proud of overall is how despite this, I persevered and still managed to do my best work and demonstrate the habits of heart and mind. I am also proud of how I have missed very few school days, and how my group can rely on me to show up. Finally, I am proud of how my organization has improved, and as a result my missing assignments have reduced. I think I am prepared for 8th grade because I used all 4 habits of heart and mind both in school and outside of school. I am committed to school, and always try my hardest.
In conclusion, I have shown identity through my ideas, actions, and school. I have grown so much in 7th grade and can't wait to grow even more in 8th. Thank you for listening to my TPOL, any questions?
