Some things we have learned in this unit are how to decompose shapes and find a shape's area, including two and three dimensional shapes.
I got a meets on this assessment. I think that I could've double-checked my work, but other than that, I think I did well. Some of the Habits of Heart and Mind that I used were effort, and integrity. I used effort because I worked hard to try and get the questions right. I used Integrity because I didn't cheat off of someone else's test, and I didn't look up any answers.
In this unit we are learning how a ratio is a relationship between types of quantities and we will be learning about the differences between rates, ratios and proportions
In my unit 2 exit ticket I got all of the regular questions correct. The challenge question, number five, was very hard. I used some of the Habits of Heart and mind, Effort and Integrity. I didn't copy off of others, and I tried really hard on all of the questions to get them right.
In this assessment, I only got one question wrong. I think I tried hard and was present in my learning, though. I feel like I also showed the habits of heart in mind, so though I got only about 88% of the questions correct, I feel like I did everything on the test that was not on the paper well.
On the Percents Quiz, I got every answer correct. I think that I also demonstrated refinement that, when I finished, I went back and double-checked my work. I think I also demonstrated integrity by not cheating by looking at other's assessment. All in all, I think I did well on paper, and I demonstrated habits of heart and mind, too.
In unit four we learned the difference between expressions and equations! I feel I learned a lot in this unit, because I feel like I applied myself to working hard on this. An equation usually has an "="s sign, and compares two likewise terms( or a series of terms) to each other. An expression is a series of terms that doesn't usually have a "="s sign.
In this unit, we learned about proportions and proportional relationships. I feel like I used integrity throughout this unit by staying on task and being focused on my math. Towards the end of this unit, we learned about the circumference, areas, radiuses, and diameters of circles, and how to solve for another using one of these parts of a circle. Also, I feel like I worked on my ownership goal by trying to get the necessary pages done quickly and correctly, so I could reach for exceeds through extensions on my work.
