I for sure could have done better on this "show don't tell" page because I had to do it quickly so I did not get much time to refine or even finish the story. 

Next time I will try my best to have a shorter story so that I can at least make somewhat of a story with the little time I have.

I think I used a bit of effort while creating this "show don't tell" because I used my imagination to create it.

I am proud of my infographic because Wren and I worked very hard to creating it and I think we put good information on it about two roads. (which is the book we are reading right now) 

Next time I would like to spend more time on this project, so that I can refine it to perfection.

I think I more than anything used refinement because we did refine this a lot but i still think we could have done some things better.

I honestly think that I did a decent job on this project though I think that I might have just made Cal feel worse. 

Next time I would like to type in more simple sentences because I had way more compound sentences than I needed.

I think I used respect because I listened attentively to the explanation before I started working. After we were  released to complete our assignment I worked diligently and vigorously without speaking to my class mates    

For this project I wrote an essay comparing two different versions of La Llorona. The Charlie Hernandez vs The one I grew up with. 

I think I used effort in this project because I often spent my free time making this essay a well written one that I am proud of. I also refined my work many times to make sure that I used high vocabulary and it was intriguing for the reader.      

To prepare for my debate I used a document that would help me put my research in order so that I was organized and ready. I began researching my topic, (Homework can be beneficial for kids education) and found many sources that had strong evidence supporting my claims. Including, The Conversation, Britannica, and The Sandiego University. I then researched the other teams topic so that I would have counter attacks prepared and ready to use. On the last day I organized a zoom meeting with my group so that we were in sync and ready for the debate the next day.

I think I used Effort in this because my group and I used our free time to meet with each other and create the best argument that we could come up with. We made sure we had plenty of counter attacks that we could use and added as much information as we could. 

The most challenging part of this essay to me was expanding my vocabulary. To make this essay extraordinary I took into account that expanding my vocabulary could result in my essay sounding more professional and  potentially changing other people's perspectives on homework. Another thing that was particularly hard for me was calling my audience into action. I found this task hard because I didn't know how to encourage my audience to participate in homework. I had given them many reasons why to take action, but I didn't know how to say "Now it's up to you!" in a professional manner. Because of that I struggle on keeping my writing short I was not very good at  keeping my introduction small, so I ended up doing better at the body paragraphs because I was able to expand my writing to an extent were I felt satisfied. I was also able to use better vocabulary to make my essay something that I thought was good. If I'm being honest I'm not the best person to ask for advice (because I am not very good at explaining things) but if there were a situation were I would have to give advice on writing and argumentative essay, I would for sure tell them that its not something to stress about. They should relax and stay calm, all they have to do is put their words on paper as if they were talking. They shouldn't overthink it too much and just write their ideas to make it seem more fluid. Something very big to take into account is refinement. This one is very big and you should definitely do so and I promise it will make a big difference on how it looks down to how it sounds. 

Learning target: i can create a podcast interview between a Spanish conquistador and an Aztec ruler.

I think I used a good amount of Effort on this project because, the day we did this assignment there was one person missing in our group. So I chose to take extra time to make sure that they weren't so behind. I did in fact try to email them and update them on our project but, they ended up not emailing back so I made sure to take some of my time to make a portion of their script. That way they wouldn't need to worry the next day.  

Learning target: i can create a  "can you survive the Aztec empire?" to demonstrate my understanding of the Aztec.

I feel like i used a pretty good proportion of refinement on this project because, me and my partner worked together for a few days creating and refining this project to its best. As we worked on refining this we came up with a good interactive idea that included  the famous eagle and snake that  you see on the Mexican flag and the Aztec calendar.  We decided to use a 10 peso coin to represent both of those Aztec symbols, we would then flip it to decide the fate of the player at the end.   

What did you do for the exhibition?

My group and I have studied the Aztecs civilization, religion, ranks, lifestyle and their history for weeks in order to prepare for our exhibition. At our presentation we had our audience dig up artifacts that we made and studied, we then recognized ours and began explaining its history, what it was used for, and what it would represent. Then another one of my group members would begin the closing and move on to our project choice boards and artifacts. We then rotated stations and started again.

What was your artifact?

 I made an artifact of a god that represented the links from the earth and the sky, Quetzalcoatl. He is deemed the creator of men but he is also supposedly tied to the end of the Aztec empire.
