i interned at Puppy Love boarding Kennels, i got to spend my week learning how boarding kennels worked and how the employee's complete all of there position assigned tasks. Puppy love is Basically like a hotel for pets, they provide overnight boarding, feeding, and grooming. while i was there i learned a lot about how a work environment looks like, and what its like to work with other people. throughout the week i spent most of my time working with Kennel Tech's. the Kennel Tech’s spend their shifts letting the dogs out, feeding, and cleaning. they also work up front to prepare for dogs coming in later, and they will set up runs for them. while I was there i just kinda picked up a few things, like better ways to carry a dog, how to handle an antsy or riled up dog. and the way i bathe my dogs is different now. i also learned how to file the tips the groomers get from each service based off of receipts (ect). i interned at puppy love because i figured it would give me an oppurtunity to put my love for dogs into a job and see about a job at a boarding kennel in the future, this goal checked out because i really enjoyed my intership and how i was able to be engaged with the dogs, and i was even offered a summer time job. plus conversations with staff have inspired me to consider a career as  an animal physician.

By the end of the year, I understood being respectful to mean just to be polite and kind to other people. Now i acknowledge that respect is how you treat other people, speak/ to and around them, and how you react when someone needs help, and how you handle other peoples emotions. But respect can have plenty of different definitions, like how you teach your teachers, or how you act when somebody does something for you.

At the beginning of the year, I understood integrity to mean just simply taking responsibility for your actions and knowing when you made a mistake, even just on an assignment.  

By the end of this year, i have learned that integrity is the way that you acknowledge the way you can be respectful, and knowing how to refine things that maybe you didn't want to refine. 

For example not trying to just get answers for something and get it over with, but instead searching for them and actually learning from the experience.

At the beginning of the year, I understood effort to mean just putting your best into schoolwork.  

But I've acknowledged that a lot of things take effort, such as just to wake up in the mornings, or to try to be more productive, and just moving forward on things.
