My group goal for Science is using others' feedback to learn, and giving others helpful feedback, will do this by listening to my freinds and classmates advise and use it to improve my work.
We put four star bursts in a zip block and a mug of boiling water and put the bag of starbursts in the mug of water and let it sit until the starbursts turned into a lime sort of texture, and then put it under a flattening iron to compress the starbursts To model the rock cycle.
in this process i learned how rocks melt into magma and recreat a new rock built off of a bunch of crushed down rocks,
i researched about Zion national park and learned that it was created by erosion of a river crossing threw and reveling all the colorful rock layers.
I feel like my knowledge has really improved on the houses that the ancestral puebloans built, what the rock layers are in the southwest are, how the environment has changed throughout the decades and how to work together as a team, my team worked together to create a really good diagram of the constructed rock layers, and me and my partners practiced a lot on our skript and even called each other while we were at home to study so that we could memorize and get down our skript so that we would rock the exhibition. I feel like I did really well on my presentation and I feel like I was able to speak clearly and present well.
Solar one pager shows our learning target and what we learned during exhibition
Hi, I'm Brooke and this is my science exhibition reflection! At this exhibition, I and my partners were working on a project based on Solar Eclipses and we worked extremely hard and we worked well together. We did so much to get good grades and, mostly our presentation was well presented and I memorized the script quickly. My team worked hard on our model and our project board one of our teammates wasn't here but I and my partner Ryann Smith would both agree that this was probably the best exhibition we have presented so far together, and I think that I worked better like this with my friends because I can communicate better with the people I know better because I'm not the kind of person who talks to people I don't know well to much. So I think I did a lot better in this exhibition. On this project I got meets, I worked hard and I went all out on this project and I think that ever since I came to mountain middle my presenting skills and agreeing with my fellow teammates like coming up with a conclusion and this school is also pushing me to improve my grades by a whole lot and I'm feeling a lot more confident in my science portion of education, this project was based on my favorite science topic which is space, on this project we had a big project board with information on how Solar Eclipses happen, out one pager, extra facts, and other stuff we also had a model of the planets hanging from the ceiling and we had tons of information on other stuff as well, I am very proud of this exhibition and I'm glad that I did it because I accomplished a lot on this topic. After both of our presentations, we got lots of compliments on how we did and people told us they could tell we were doing our best. We also had a Kahoot at the end of our exhibition to see how much people learned about Solar Eclipses. We had parents write their thoughts about what they learned and feedback on some sticky notes, And all of it was very helpful.
during this project, we researched certain problems with pollution or what's going on in the world as far as stuff like littering pollution and more, then we put together an action plan planning what we were going to do to fix this like some people chose to raise money and donate to a company that plants trees for every dollar that they raise called one tree planted and some of us chose to do art make a flier or put posters around an area to get people to donate to places that plant trees and help save the ozone, for my project I chose to pick up trash around the forest that I live near like microplastics and more.
