Hi! My name is Anna Pluim, and I am thrilled to be your first-grade teacher this school year!
I studied Elementary Education at the University of Northwestern, St. Paul, and I have been a teacher in many capacities over the last 16 years. I taught second grade and kindergarten in my early years of teaching. Then I took a break from full-time teaching so I could spend more time at home with our growing family. I was a substitute in the district for 10 years, before I returned to full-time teaching last year. This will be my 2nd year teaching first grade at Turtle Lake. Turtle Lake is a very special place! We are going to have an amazing year of learning and fun in first grade!!
My husband, Tracy, and I have 4 children. We live in Shoreview and enjoy hiking, bike rides, puzzles, road trips, and truly, anything we can do together! :)
I am committed to partnering with families to ensure all students success at school. I want school to be fun, challenging, safe, and a place we can all learn and grow together! It is an absolute privilege to help teach and guide your child ALONGSIDE you this year! Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns.
I look forward to meeting each of you!

You can choose the day and time that works best for you. I encourage you to sign-up one time in the Fall/Winter - Semester One and one time in the Winter/Spring - Semester Two.
