Mrs. Hofmeister

I am so excited to be your first grade teacher!  

This year marks my 18th year teaching first grade at Turtle Lake.  I have grown to love teaching more and more each year! My favorite thing about teaching is getting to know kids and families, helping to create lifelong learners and watching kids become stronger readers, writers and mathematicians.  

I finished my undergrad at Hamline University and completed my masters through Mounds View and St. Thomas.

When I am not working on school work, I am usually busy chasing after my 9 year old, Wesley and our dog Eva.  We love to swim, and visit playgrounds, zoos, libraries and aquariums.  We also like to play board games!  We love the Mall of America!

I also love to travel and am always planning my next trip!  This summer I went Scuba diving in St. Vincent!  Some of my favorite trips have been to Norway, Egypt, India and Spain!  I can’t wait to learn about all of you!

Parent Meetings:

At Turtle Lake, we offer several opportunities throughout the year for teachers and parents to discuss your child's academic and social progress. You can choose the day and time that works best for you. I encourage you to sign-up one time in the Fall/Winter - Semester One and one time in the Winter/Spring - Semester Two.
