What is CoTeaching?
CoTeaching is an instructional approach in which two or more teachers work together in a collaborative partnership to deliver content to a diverse group of students. This approach is often used in inclusive education settings where students with diverse learning needs, including those with disabilities, learn alongside their peers without disabilities.
The co-teaching model involves a general education teacher and a special education teacher (or other specialists) working together in the same classroom. The goal is to provide all students with access to the same curriculum and instruction, regardless of their abilities or learning styles. Co-teachers collaborate to plan, instruct, and assess students, and they share responsibility for the success of all students in the classroom.
