Site Administrator Responsibilities

  1. Participate in the collaborative development of an Individualized Learning Plan (ILP) with the candidate within the first 60 days of enrollment, based on needs determined by the candidate, site administrator, and mentor solely for the professional growth and development of the candidate and not for evaluation for employment purposes.

  2. Participate in triad meetings with the candidate and mentor.

  3. Facilitate candidate growth through feedback on classroom instruction.

  4. Coordinate available resources to support the candidate’s professional growth and accomplishment of the ILP.

  5. Maintain confidentiality regarding the learning process of the candidate. 

  6. Collaborate with the mentor and induction program staff to support the candidate.

  7. Participate in induction program surveys and evaluations for program effectiveness.

Advisory Board

  • The Montebello Teacher Induction Program Advisory Board is comprised of stakeholders from various levels of the education community, including classroom teachers, Montebello Teacher Association, school site administrators, district representatives, and local institutions of higher learning. 

  • Advisory Board members play an important role in ensuring ongoing collaborative communication regarding the implementation of the induction program standards and district requirements. They offer their experience and expertise to strengthen the decision-making process, review current practices, and provide feedback for improvements to ensure program effectiveness.
