The Basics of Baseball

Process: My infographic explains the basic rules of a game called baseball. Baseball is nicknamed America’s pastime and is a very popular sport all around the world. Baseball is a very simple game, but hard to play. The concept of hitting a ball with a stick sounds quite easy, but trust me, coming from a baseball player it is harder than it seems. The goal of baseball is to score more points, or in baseball called runs, than the other team. You do this by keeping the other team from getting on base and keep them from hitting the ball. To score a run you must reach all 4 bases safely, first, second, third, and the fourth base is called home plate. The bases are around the field in a diamond shape and the pitcher pitches from a mound in the middle of the bases.
I used Canva to create my infographic. I used some of the templates given as inspiration on how to make my layout of my infographic. I got my information from just my own knowledge and a little bit from a website called “How Stuff Works”. I didn’t use any other website for information, like I said I just used things that I already knew from experience and my common knowledge on the game of baseball.
