Mindfulness

This will be our main resource for class, home practice and optional extensions

UNIT 1: Stress

We begin to build more self-awareness and explore 

We’ll also begin to incorporate a daily Journal, meditation/movement, and begin to collect tools and coping skills for how to handle stress.

Unit 2: Mindfulness

We will enter the world of Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction  (MBSR) with additional tools and practices for alleviating stress and becoming more mindful people 

Unit 3: Wellness 

Students will learn about Princeton University’s 7 Dimensions of Wellness 

Unit 4: Self-Study

Students will have the opportunity to reflect on the wellness unit, as well as previous units, and create a personal wellness goal, as well as a toolbox of tips and coping skills for stress management. 

Unit 5: Service

Students will discuss, plan, and implement methods to teach their peers about mindfulness and its benefits.
