Homecoming Fashion in the Falcon's Nest

This year, I attended the 2023 disco themed Homecoming dance. I had so much fun and everyone looked amazing! I observed many outfits and took pictures of people who I thought went all out for this year’s theme.

2023 Fashion Trends

According to Vogue, current fall fashion trends include print, texture, and color . Prints such as polka dots, florals, and metallics are in this season. Two trending clothing items are tailored vests and long maxi dresses

2023 HOCO Dress Trends

Trending HOCO colors of 2023, according to Ever Pretty, are black, red, hot pink, green, blue, purple, and burnt orange . Trending styles for the season, according to Camille La Vie, are glitter, metallic, satin, sequin, and beaded dresses .

Disco Themed Outfits

Disco themed outfits became a trend after the rise of disco music played in underground clubs in the 60’s and 70’s. According to Soxy Blogs, classic disco outfits pay tribute to 60’s and 70’s fashion trends. Clothing pieces such as nylon jumpsuits, platform boots, and halter tops are examples of these trends. Color and pattern also play a role in disco themed outfits. Bright colors and exaggerated patterns were trending during the disco era. Floral print is the most common pattern associated with the disco era.

Best Dressed

Although everyone looked amazing, there were a handful of people who really went all out. 

The first person who was very on point with the theme was Junior Eva Smock. The matching top and flared pants really encapsulated the disco theme.
