MOODLE WILL GO LIVE ON 8TH OF JUNE
Ensuring academic integrity is crucial for students in their studies. In Moodle 4.1, a new plugin called "Academic Integrity Notice" has been introduced to support this goal, requiring students to read and agree to the notice before attempting quizzes or submitting their work.
The Academic Integrity Notice plugin is enabled for selected Moodle activities, including:
Moodle Assignment
Database
Forum
Glossary
H5P
Lesson
Quiz
SCORM
Turnitin Assignment
Wiki
Workshop
It is highly recommended to enable the Academic Integrity Notice when using one of the activities in bold.
You will be able to find the Academic Integrity section on the settings page of the activities mentioned above. The setting to display the notice is turned off by default, but you can turn it on when the notice is applicable to your assessment activity.
Once you change "Display academic integrity notice" from "No" to "Yes", your students will see the notice when they enter the target activity page.
Students will need to read the notice and click on the "Agree" button before they can access the activity page. If they don't click "Agree," Moodle will redirect them back to the unit homepage. Once they click "Agree," they will be able to visit the activity page.
Note: This is a one-time notice that will only appear the first time. It will not appear again once the students have clicked "Agree."
