Microalgae culture growth and CO2 fixation/capture
Project title: Microalgae culture growth and CO2 fixation/capture
Position: Masters student
Scholarship Benefits:
100% tuition fee waiver
RM2,850 monthly stipend for 24 months (Funded by PETRONAS Research Sdn. Bhd)
Supervisors: Dr. Lau Ee Von and Dr. Azianabiha A. Halip (UiTM)
Project Description:
This project aims to explore the efficiency of microalgae cultivation through CO2 bubbling techniques and to precisely measure the carbon dioxide fixation or capture rate within these systems. This investigation seeks to understand how effectively microalgae can utilise carbon dioxide in their growth processes, thereby contributing to greenhouse gas mitigation and exploring sustainable approaches to CO2 management.
Requirements:
Open to Malaysians and International Students
Hold an excellent Bachelor degree with CGPA of at least 3.00 (Second upper) or equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or similar disciplines.
Strong analytical skills and mathematical background.
Excellent, motivated, and self-driven.
This project requires travelling from Monash University Malaysia to Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Shah Alam
