Project title: Digital Twin for a Vehicle Braking System
Position: PhD / Masters student
Benefits:
100% tuition fee waiver
RM2,850 monthly stipend (up to 42 months for PhD and up to 27 months for Masters)
Supervisors: Dr Veera Ragavan S.
Project Description:
The escalating demand for fuel necessitates inventive solutions. The quest for alternative energy sources gains prominence as we steer towards sustainable transportation. Hybrid vehicles and regenerative braking have emerged as frontrunners in this pursuit. A hybrid vehicle harnesses multiple energy sources, such as compressed air or electricity, while regenerative braking recovers kinetic energy lost during braking, storing it for subsequent acceleration. Our project focuses on modeling, simulating, and prototyping a Regenerative Braking System tailored for urban driving conditions. We aim to optimize energy usage through technologies like Digital Twins, Data Analytics, IoT, and AI, contributing to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to Clean Energy and Sustainable Cities. Join us in shaping the future of transportation!
