In order to obtain practicum training before venturing into other established mental health settings, Monash University Malaysia's Master of Professional Counselling students are providing free counselling services, available for anyone on a first-come, first-serve basis (Malaysian time zone is GMT +8). As practicum counsellors who are currently undergoing training, the services provided will be supervised by licensed and experienced mental health practitioners. Details shared in counselling sessions are treated as private and confidential, only to be accessed by supervisors. Practicum counsellors at Monash University Malaysia will strive to provide the respect and unconditional positive regard for clients of all backgrounds, religions, and lifestyles, and welcomes feedback from clients.

Counselling is a safe space where you are free to be yourself and express yourself without fear so that you may identify problems with greater clarity. Counsellors are trained to listen and help you navigate your thoughts, feelings, experiences, and challenging life circumstances. If needed, they can also train you in various skills to handle these problems.
