About Me
Hi! I’m Nicole, and at heart I’m someone who is deeply curious about people and the stories that shape who we become. Many of the clients I feel especially drawn to are thoughtful, sensitive individuals who carry a lot on their shoulders — the overthinkers, the perfectionists, the high-achievers who are used to “holding it together” for everyone else. If you often feel stuck in your own mind, caught between expectations, self-doubt or the pressure to always be doing more, you’re not alone. I believe therapy should feel like a space where you can finally slow down, breathe and speak honestly without fear of judgment. My hope is to create a warm, grounded environment where you feel safe to explore what’s going on beneath the surface and reconnect with the parts of yourself that may have been quiet for a long time.
My counselling philosophy is grounded in the belief that meaningful change begins with understanding, compassion and genuine human connection. I take a collaborative and person-centred approach, where therapy becomes a space for us to gently explore your experiences together and move at a pace that feels right for you. While I draw on practical cognitive and reflective tools to support insight and growth, I also pay close attention to the here and now. This includes noticing how emotions show up not only in our thoughts but also in our bodies. Sometimes feelings can be difficult to put into words, and part of the work may involve slowing down, noticing and allowing those experiences to take shape in ways that feel natural and meaningful. I also value creating a calm and supportive environment, where small elements such as imagery, reflective prompts, or sensory grounding can help people connect more deeply with themselves. I see therapy as a space for reflection, curiosity and growth. My role is not to direct the path, but to walk alongside you as you gain greater clarity about your needs, values and direction. Over time, this process can help cultivate self-trust, resilience and the confidence to move forward in ways that feel more aligned with the life you want to build.
