About Me
Hey there! Joo Xian here — a counselling trainee who’s deeply curious about the stories that make us who we are. I believe that every person is shaped by a rich mix of experiences, relationships, and cultural expectations — and I find it meaningful to explore those layers with you, together.
Having grown up in a Chinese family, I’m attuned to the cultural dynamics that influence how we cope, relate, and show up in the world. I hope to offer a space that feels safe, but not sugarcoated — a space where we can slow down, tell the truth, and gently face what’s hard. I believe healing sometimes means being comforted, and sometimes being challenged with honesty and compassion.
Outside of the counselling room, I’m probably sipping matcha, people-watching, journaling in quiet corners, or staring up at clouds and swaying trees — moments that remind me how much beauty there is in simply existing.
If you’re looking for someone to walk with you through confusion, change, or self-discovery — I’d be honored to meet you where you are.
