About Me
Hello, I’m Angiele Lum, a Trainee Counsellor currently pursuing a Master of Professional Counselling at Monash University Malaysia. My journey into counselling began with a natural curiosity about people and a genuine interest in understanding their lived experiences. Over time, being present for others during vulnerable moments became deeply meaningful, shaping the belief that each person should have the opportunity to feel heard, understood, and supported. I approach my work with openness and warmth, while maintaining a calm and grounded presence, hopefully to create a space where people feel safe to be themselves.
Counselling to me is viewed as a space for navigating challenges and an opportunity for self-discovery and growth. Grounded in collaboration and empowerment, my approach prioritises listening and understanding individuals’ unique experiences and perspectives, while gently guiding clients toward greater clarity about what matters to them and how they would like to move forward. Rather than providing ready-made answers, the focus remains on supporting individuals in exploring their values, strengths, and preferences so that change feels authentic and meaningful. Ultimately, the intention is to offer a space where growth can unfold at a pace that feels right as you move toward becoming a better version of yourself.
