About Me
Hello! I’m Amena - born in India, raised among the sand‑dunes of Saudi Arabia, and now rooted in multicultural Malaysia.
My passport stamps may be diverse, but one thread runs through every chapter of my life: a deep‑seated love for hearing people’s stories - and helping them rewrite the parts that hurt.
Before stepping into the counselling room, I spent my days teaching inquisitive middle‑schoolers (and occasionally refereeing playground debates about who ate the last jellybean). I’ve also worn hats as a Toastmasters President, debate coach, research assistant, and - most notably - designated family therapist for cousins in three different time zones 😆
These experiences taught me two things:
1) People flourish when they’re truly heard.
2) A little humour makes even the toughest conversation easier - yes, Dad jokes count as CBT interventions😂
To borrow the immortal words of Michael Scott from The Office:
“I knew exactly what to do, but in a much more real sense I had no idea what to do.”
If that sounds like your head‑space right now, you’re in the right place - we’ll figure it out together.
How I Work -
Integrative: CBT + mindfulness tools, all tailored to your culture and rhythm
Outside the Therapy Room-
Sunrise hikes • Swimming • TV marathons (Harry Potter, Brooklyn 99, Sherlock, Friends, Criminal Minds) • Poetry📜
If you want a counsellor who can laugh with you, sit with the tough stuff, and honour your cultural story, let’s connect and turn “I’m stuck” into “I’ve got this.”
