About Me
Hi, I'm Ameera, a trainee counsellor at Monash University.
I believe in creating a safe, non-judgmental space for anyone who is hurting, feeling uncertain, or unsure of how to move forward. Starting counseling can feel overwhelming, and that's completely okay. You don't need to have it all figured out before reaching out.
My approach is collaborative. We'll work together at your own pace, setting goals that feel meaningful to you, so that healing feels less like something that happens to you and more like something we navigate together. So, how can I help? Sessions with me are a blend of warmth, humour, and honest conversation. There's room for lightness and laughter, as well as the harder, more serious moments. Together, we'll explore what's weighing on you, deepen your self-understanding, and work through the challenges you're facing.
Alongside this, we'll work on regulating your emotions and responses, so you feel more in control of how you think, feel, and act. Every session is tailored to you, because no two journeys look the same.
