About Me
Hi, I’m Almirah, a counsellor-in-training who believes therapy should feel like a pause, not a performance. I offer a warm, collaborative space for young adults, students, and creatives navigating homesickness, identity shifts, stress, and those “what am I even doing?” moments.
My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Together, we explore how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours connect and how small shifts can lead to big relief. Sessions with me often involve gentle reflection, a little laughter, and a whole lot of curiosity.
As a counsellor, I bring curiosity, humility and a deep respect for each person’s story.
I see therapy as a shared process, a place where we figure things out together.
When I’m not counselling, I’m probably rewatching Friends, quoting Brooklyn Nine-Nine, playing sports, or perfecting the art of sleeping in. A quote I hold close, both in life and in the therapy room, is from Monica Geller: “Welcome to the real world. It sucks. You’re gonna love it.”
If you’re feeling stuck, scattered, or just need a space to breathe and be real, I’m here.
Let’s figure it out together. One Session, one sigh, one brave step at a time.
