Apps and Links
“Emergency + is a national app developed by Australia's emergency services and their Government and industry partners, helping people to call the right number at the right time, anywhere in Australia. The app uses a mobile phone's GPS functionality so callers can provide emergency call-takers with their location information as determined by their smart phone. ‘Emergency+’ also includes SES and Police Assistance Line numbers as options, so non-emergency calls are made to the most appropriate number.”
“VicEmergency is the official Victorian Government app for emergency warnings and information. Download VicEmergency, set up a user profile and watch zones to ensure you receive official warnings and information for areas that interest you.”
"ABC Emergency brings warnings and coverage of emergencies to one place. It helps you find information during, before and after times of crisis and disaster, wherever you are in Australia. We aim to tell you what the emergency is, where it's located, what essential information is available to us that will help you make decisions and where you can find more information. It's handy for travellers, especially if you're unfamiliar with how to find warning information."
