Employees at the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino Resort must be licensed by the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribal Gaming Commission prior to commencing employment. Tribal Gaming is the most regulated business in the world.
Licensing are required to ensure that those involved with the gaming industry within the jurisdiction of the Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe meet statutory requirements of good character, honesty, and integrity. The licensing process can be intrusive and personal, but necessary for the Commission to determine suitable candidates for employment.
Once you are offered a position at the Casino, Human Resources will provide you specific instructions on which application is required. Human Resources will also inform you of the level of licensure required.

In order to make this a smooth process, please be prepared for your appointment with the following required original documents (that pertain to you):
Birth Certificate
State Department Form 240
Social Security Card
Tribal Enrollment Card
Alien Registration Documentation
Bankruptcy Pleadings and Filings
Military DD 214 Discharge Papers

To further be prepared, please bring the following information that will aide in completing the application:
Four personal references (People that know you well for more than 2 years) their name, address, and phone number.
Spouse information - full name, date of birth, and occupation.
Employment Activities for the past 5 years, including the employer name, address, phone number, and supervisor name.
Addresses where you have lived for the past five years, including street name, town/city, and zip code.
For each address we will need a verifier, this is someone that can verify that you lived in these places. Their name phone number, and their address.
High Schools, colleges, universities names, addresses, dates attended and graduation dates.
Tickets/court documents/dispositions from any arrests or charges that you may have.
