Primary Three

2021 Code@sb Lego-wedo

During P3 Lego wedo, students learnt to work in a group to build up a Lego truck and then they learnt to use a simple coding app to programme the truck. Students were very excited to see that they can remotely control their truck and the app allows them to automatically do some actions which they have programmed.

2021 P3 Cultural Camp

The P3 cultural camp allows students to play a variety of traditional games. Chinese students have learnt to play shuttlecock and shadow play. They were also engaged in paper cutting and tangram. Students learnt the origin of the traditional games and played or made the games.

Malay students learnt traditional Malay arts Batik Painting and traditional Malay games, tapak kuda, lereng and gasing. Indian students did Oil Lamp Painting to appreciate the Indian cultural arts. They also played language games such as Kabaddi. Our students certainly had a better understanding of their culture through these authentic activities.

2020 Coding using Lego WeDo 2.0

In line with the national focus to equip students with digital literacy to thrive in an increasingly digitalised world, the school aims to expose all students to coding and develop their computational thinking skills. Code@SBPS is structured to expose Primary 3 to 6 students to block programming yearly. It is a spiral curriculum which revisits and builds on what students have learnt previously.

2020 Mother Tongue Language (MTL) Fortnight

The MTL Fortnight activities bring MTL learning beyond the classroom, to stimulate students’ interest to use Mother Tongue language and have a deep understanding of their cultures. Primary 3 students designed posters on topics such as traditional games which they had experienced during the MT Cultural Camp.
