2021 Art
In groups, students selected a school value and created an artwork for the chosen value. Through self-reflection, class and group discussion, students gained a better understanding of our school values. This promoted the growth and development of their character.
2021 Reader's Theatre
P2 students participated in a 5-day English Language Reader’s Theatre programme where they were tasked to read a script and perform as a group. Reader’s Theatre is a strategy for developing reading fluency and it aims to help readers learn to read aloud with expression and confidence. Our students had an enjoyable time learning and performing together!
2021 MTL Speech & Drama
Chinese Language
The Chinese Speech and Drama programme during Mother Tongue Fortnight aims to build students’ confidence via a range of communicative activities while developing oral skills, nurturing imagination and resourcefulness. The programme also helps to develop social skills, concentration, coordination, and most importantly, the love for the language. In each lesson, the teacher carries out action, poetry, song, story, discussion and drama activities
Malay Language
Students are guided through an 8-hour course, incorporating role-play, improvisations and language games that sharpen and develop their communication skills in the Malay language. At the end of this course, students did a mini presentation of their work for their peers.
Tamil Language
Speech and Drama lessons enable students to learn Tamil in a fun and meaningful way. The lessons provide opportunities for students to build their confidence and competence in communicating in Tamil. Students’ presentation skills are also enhanced by these activities.
