CCA experience marks an important developmental milestone for P3 PL-Lites.
The CCA selection process is designed to strike a balance between inclusivity and talent development, ensuring that every student has access to meaningful and engaging co-curricular activities. CCAs serve as an exposure platform where students can explore their interests and discover their passions.
Primary 3 students will participate in a CCA Fair (typically two afternoons), where they experience a snapshot of the various CCAs. During this event, CCA leaders and seniors will host interactive sessions to share insights about their respective CCAs. This helps students make informed decisions before submitting their CCA choices.
CCA Readiness Trial
For Competitive Sports and Performing Arts CCAs, a CCA Readiness Trial will be conducted. Students who wish to join these CCAs must indicate them as their first or second choice. The trials aim to match students’ interests and readiness to the CCA, ensuring an optimal fit for their growth and engagement. Importantly, these trials are not focused on talent identification but are based on general criteria that ensure students can effectively participate and learn within their chosen CCA.
A quota system is implemented to ensure inclusivity across proficiency levels, fostering a diverse and vibrant CCA community. Students who meet the criteria will be selected through computerized balloting, ensuring fairness and equal opportunity for all Primary 3 PL-Lites.
