PLMGPS CCA Journal: A Holistic Approach to Learning and Growth
The CCA Journal is a thoughtfully designed resource to enrich your child's co-curricular experience, focusing not just on skill development but also on fostering personal growth and resilience. This journal is more than a record of participation—it is a space for students to explore their learning journey, discover their strengths, and cultivate important life skills that go beyond the boundaries of their chosen CCA. Teachers will facilitate selected activities during CCA sessions to deepen students' learning beyond specific CCA skills, fostering emotional, social, and mental well-being.
Tips for Parents to Support Your Child's Journey
Your involvement plays a vital role in your child's holistic development. Here are some ways to support her as she engages with the CCA Journal:
Encourage Open Conversations: Ask your daughter to share her reflections and experiences in her CCA. Show genuine interest and celebrate her achievements, big or small.
Reframe Challenges Positively: When she faces difficulties, help her view them as opportunities to learn and grow. Guide her in identifying solutions and appreciating the value of perseverance.
Collaborate on Target-Setting: Work with your daughter to set realistic and meaningful goals. Celebrate milestones together and discuss strategies for continuous improvement.
Promote Self-Discovery: Encourage her to explore her strengths and passions, and support her in pursuing activities that align with her interests and abilities.
Reinforce Positive Self-Talk: Remind her of the importance of staying kind and encouraging to herself, especially when things don't go as planned.
