Grant-A-Wish

Seth Lin and Mikaela Keng (4B 2021) came up with the idea of raising funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation together during the Focused Group Discussions carried out in early 2021. They have been vital in the planning of the project, such as communicating with Miss Jeneve from Make-A-Wish Singapore to discuss what are some viable methods to raise funds together as a school.

They eventually came up with two main ways to raise funds. The first was the Skip-A-Thon challenge, where our sponsors, Mr Andy Wong and Heartwarmers, pledged $1 for every 3 skips carried out. We managed to accumulate a total of 71,701 skips as a school population, and raised a total of $17,892 in donations by our sponsors. The second was raising funds through the sales of snack bundles sponsored by our very own chamPS, and Make-A-Wish wishing pens. We have managed to raise $2,120 through the sales conducted during recess. As a school, we managed to garner a total of $20,012 for critically ill children who would have their wishes granted with the amount raised.
