Animal Lives Matter

Valelynn Toh (6E 2021) and Alicia Liao (6F 2021) chanced upon an article on cat abuse and they came up with the idea of raising awareness to stop this action in the community. They are animal lovers themselves. 

They wrote to the MP of Nee Soon East, Mr Louis Ng, seeking his support. Mr Louis Ng was very proud of their initiative and arranged to meet them together with their parents. The girls showed him the poster they had designed, and he gave them some input. Shortly after, the posters were put up on the noticeboards at the lift lobbies of some blocks in Yishun. Minister K Shanmugam came to know about this project, and met the girls in person. He thanked the girls for their effort and love for the animals.
