Appreciating Our Heroes @ KTPH

Low Cheng Yang and Phylicia Tay (6F 2021) initiated the VIA at KTPH project under SAY. Their team comprising of 17 other P6 students wanted to thank the healthcare workers from Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. They were motivated by the fact that the healthcare workers had put in a tremendous amount of effort to keep Singapore’s Covid-19 cases low. 

To show their appreciation, the team raised funds from the school population to purchase muffins and soya milk for each healthcare worker. The members also painstakingly created a handwritten card attached to a handmade flower to be gifted to each recipient as well. Through their efforts, the team hopes that their gestures were able to encourage the frontliners to continue with their hard work in defending Singapore against Covid-19.
