CTSS was the school where I met my best teachers, and my lifelong friends. The numerous computing opportunities given to me were vital stepping stones in enabling my Cybersecurity career today. Despite graduating five years ago, I still look forward to serving CTSS as an Alumni as a way of giving back to the school for all it gave to me.

Clementi Town Secondary School shaped my life in profound ways. The friendships, dedicated teachers, and diverse CCAs— Wushu and Badminton —left lasting memories. Our school’s mantra, "Be Humble and Be Ready to Learn," remains my guiding principle, influencing my career and personal growth even 30 years later.

CTSS has impacted me by shaping my academic abilities, fostering lifelong friendships, and instilling in me a sense of responsibility. It is a fertile ground for personal growth, challenging me to think critically and develop essential life skills, preparing me for tertiary education. Furthermore, the teachers went beyond believing in us,often working with us and providing supplementary help beyond school hours. All the immense support has greatly encouraged me to work hard and be grateful to my teachers.

We visited CTSS when Stephen was in Primary 5, the year before COVID hit. He was one of the few students in his batch who managed to visit an Open House for Secondary School as no Open Houses were held in 2020. During our visit, it was both the school and the National Police Cadet Corps (NPCC) booth that impressed Stephen most. CTSS was his first choice and NPCC was the CCA he dedicated himself to for the next four years.
As a parent, I enjoy the close relationship between the school and the student's family via the Parent Support Group (PSG). Both feedback and queries from parents are treated respectfully and taken seriously by the school leaders - a pleasant surprise to me.
My wife and I find Stephen's Co-Curriculum Activity Parent (CCAP) very caring towards her students. She always goes the extra mile to ensure that every aspect of her students' welfare is addressed.

CTSS has helped me better understand what a friendly and close-knitted community is. Out of school, CTSS students wave to each other, even if they have only met once. Generally, they all care for one another, helping anyone in need and supporting others without hesitation. The Student Union works closely with teachers and listens to the students’ opinions, working hard to create a relaxing and comfortable environment for studying. Overall, I believe that the community in CTSS is one of the best in Singapore.

My niece and nephew were also from CTSS and they graduated in 2020 and 2014 respectively. I’ve seen them grow positively in their journey in CTSS. Hence my impression of CTSS has always been great since then.
To meet the cut-off AL for CTSS, my daughter, Roma, chose the Normal Academic stream and made CTSS as her first choice. She was very eager to get into CTSS as she was extremely interested in Drama Club and student leadership that CTSS is famous for.
Due to the nurturing environment of CTSS, Roma has grown holistically in her theatre skills, leadership and even the academics. She is now in the Express stream and as parents, we are happy that she is enjoying her journey which is only possible with the support of the teachers in CTSS, giving every student equal opportunities to grow.

I have a deep seated passion for Theatre Arts and CTSS has one of the best Drama Clubs. Over these years, I have acted in at least three of our main productions ranging from minor roles to main roles and I was the Stage Manager for our last musical. In CTSS we are given diverse opportunities to explore and learn within the CCA, which helped me to understand what course I would like to pursue after my ‘O’ levels.
Being a member of the Student Union, I have opportunities to organise school events. This has made me more responsible, organised and creative. I also learned to put away differences to work together as a team. This is why CTSS is known for nurturing great leaders.
Teachers in CTSS are always looking out for opportunities for students to grow. I have attended various competitions, conferences and workshops. CTSS teachers are extremely dedicated and we are blessed to have them. CTSS and the teachers will always stay close to my heart even after I graduate.
