Beyond the integrative activities and performance tasks, our school also uses a broad range of STEM learning experiences spanning across the formal and informal curriculum as shown in the following table. The skills taught in other subject disciplines are also essential in helping students complete the integrative project.
"In working on higher level, AI-facilitated projects, one valuable lesson we have learnt is to reflect on the "must-haves" and the "good-to-haves”. This has helped us to strategically plan our project timeline and focused our efforts on the features which need to be delivered. We also found it rewarding to share our projects with members of the public and bounce ideas on how AI could further improve or lives."

"In lower secondary, everyone took part in Digital Applied Learning as a subject. We were given the opportunity to create various virtual designs through Python Turtle as well as programme BB-8 robots. This certainly gave everyone a taste of the field of technology, which in my case, was the start to many more opportunities given by CTSS!
During my O-level Computing lessons, I was given the opportunity to deepen my knowledge of computer systems as well as algorithmic thinking and coding with Python, which culminated in my participation in the National Olympiad in Informatics (NOI) 2023."
"The school has given students many opportunities to learn more about coding. I am glad for the opportunity to participate in the National Olympiad in Informatics (NOI) 2023 finals. I have learnt to not give up midway when seeking solutions and to tackle the problems creatively using different algorithms. Overall the experiences I have had in CTSS has led me to think confidently about my career options in the tech industry."
"When I was in Secondary 3, CTSS introduced me to the Swift Accelerator Programme, where I was introduced to the world of app development. Apart from app design, I learnt the importance of considering the needs of the user, such as the accessibility and design of the application. This led me to joining the IMDA Digital for Life Competition where I created an app called “Flow” with my teammates. It was a valuable experience that allowed me to apply the theories that I’ve learned in class. I can still vividly remember the days when we had to go around the school to ask other students to try our app out."
