Council Application

Instructions

1. Check that you are available to serve in May on the afternoons listed in the application form and over the course of the CAP Seminar. (Students with MTL 'O' Level exams in end May are most welcome to apply for Council) 

2. Ask a relevant teacher to write you a personal recommendation. Your personal Teacher Recommender should be able to comment on your leadership abilities. Secondary school to 2025 graduates of JC/Pre-U/Poly should provide a teacher recommendation. Older applicants need not do so.

3. Prepare the following before attempting to fill in the application: 

   1. 1. 1. 1. email address of your personal Teacher Recommender  

            2. personal statement responses to the questions:

               1. 1.  Why are you applying to be a CAP councillor?

                  2.  In your opinion, what are the qualities of a good CAP councillor?

                  3.  What are you like as a leader? What are your strengths and weaknesses as a leader? Provide examples from your life experiences.

4. Fill in https://go.gov.sg/2025-cap-council-app to apply. 

5. Check that you receive the confirmation email. If your school/.edu account blocks automated emails, re-submit the application with a personal email.

6. Copy the RESPONSE ID from the confirmation email and provide it to your personal Teacher Recommender for filling in at https://go.gov.sg/2025-cap-council-app-tr by 24 Feb 2025.
