On 1 March 2018, the Chinese Culture Room, 雅德轩,was officially launched by Mdm Lee Tee Choon, then-Superintendent of Cluster Schools South 4, as the Guest-of-Honour. The event was attended by cluster Heads of Mother Tongue Language Departments, Chinese Language teachers from cluster schools, School Advisory Committee (SAC) and Parent Support Group (PSG). Activities included tea appreciation, calligraphy, and chess sessions, guided by student ambassadors.
The school also launched the Warrior Picture Book Series, created by ALPS’ Chinese Language teachers. Comprising eight picture books reflecting the school's HER3OIC values, this series aims to foster a love for reading in students. Mr Ang Swee Choon, a Master Teacher at the Singapore Centre of Chinese Language (SCCL), led an informative session titled "Harnessing the Power of Picture Books to Foster a Love for Reading in Children," with the participation of both teachers and parents.
