Since its inception, the school has emphasized fostering a strong partnership with parents. In 2000, the Parent Support Group Executive Committee (PSG EXCO) was established to engage parents in planning, coordinating and executing school activities. This partnership enhances both the enjoyment of school experiences and the achievement of educational goals. The PSG EXCO serves as a vital communication link, enabling parents to provide valuable feedback on school policies and programmes, fostering strong Home-School partnership that inspires students’ positive attitudes towards learning.
Ms Ong Hwee Ling, the first Chairperson of the PSG EXCO, has this to say:
"Happy Tenth Anniversary, Alexandra Primary School!
It seemed like only yesterday when I was still at ALPS helping as a parent volunteer. I would never forget the days when many parents came together to help at the school events. We did what we could, even though all of us came from different backgrounds and were equipped with different sets of skills. We came forward to serve, hoping that the small things we do will enrich the learning journey of our children."
