Proficiency awards are based on a FFA member’s Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE). They recognize individual skills and career-based competencies developed through multiple years of participation in Immersion type SAE projects. To be eligible to compete for a Proficiency Award, SAEs must be agricultural in nature, fit into at least one nationally recognized agriculture, food and natural resource (AFNR) pathway and meet the description of the award area in which they apply. Agricultural Proficiency Awards honor FFA members who, through supervised agricultural experiences, have developed specialized skills that they can apply toward their future careers. Basically, the are awards for SAE projects that go above and beyond!
Alturas FFA has several students that have won proficiency awards for their incredible SAE projects. Please check them out below!
